Luke Atkison has been a lighting designer, scenic designer, and projections/video designer in the industry since 2015; and in that 7 years, has managed to design over 125 productions around the country. In this online portfolio, you will see just a fraction of the work done by countless assistants, carpenters, electricians, creative teams, and other artisans of their craft to create various productions for musicals and plays designed by Luke.
Luke received his training from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX under instructors such as Brian Clinnin, Tristan Decker, Michael Skinner, and Michael Heil. After graduating in 2016, Luke already had multiple professional credits under his belt from working with Stage West, a professional theatre in Fort Worth, and Tarrant County College Schools as a lighting designer. He went on to continue freelancing until being offered a resident designer position with Titusville Playhouse in Titusville, FL where he designed multiple productions over a 5 year residency--often covering multiple design fields on a single production.
